Corporate Contributions
Guidelines
Administaff contributes to its communities on many different levels. In order to maintain our level of service, quality and consistency, certain corporate giving guidelines have been established.
In order for Administaff to sponsor a volunteer event, the following criteria must be met by the charitable organization:
- Must be nonprofit and tax-exempt, as described in Section 501(c)(3) or 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code
- Must be located in the United States and operate in at least one Administaff district market
- Must fit within Administaff's Community Involvement focus areas (elderly, education, social service or health organizations) as detailed below:
» Health & Human Services
- Shelters
- Services for the elderly
- Faith-based organizations whose operations are nondiscriminatory, meet social needs and whose main purpose is not promoting a particular faith
- Hospitals and their foundations
- Hospice
- Informational, research and health referral services
» Education
- Educational programs and institutes
- Public, accredited private and religious K-12 schools and their foundations
- Public and accredited private or religious colleges and universities
- Preschools which are nonprofit and have a separate Employer Identification Number (EIN) from any house of worship
- Scholarship funds, unless exclusionary
- Alumni organizations
- Booster clubs
- PTA/PTO
» Military and Veteran Support
- Troop support through gifts and greetings
- Veterans organizations
» Animal Services
- Humane societies and shelters
- Therapy related
» Other - the following organizations are also eligible:
- Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and Boys & Girls Clubs
- Salvation Army
- Somebody Cares
- Special Olympics
- YMCA
- Finally, eligibility determinations are made upon evaluation of the mission statement of the organization.
Ineligible Organizations
- Arts and culture
- Civic clubs and campus organizations
- Environmental
- Foundations which raise money to disburse to other nonprofit organizations
- Fraternities, sororities and their foundations
- Individuals
- Mission trips, international giving or volunteering
- Organizations with policies or purposes inconsistent with Administaff's corporate giving philosophy and guidelines
- Political organizations
- Public radio and television
- Religious organizations, such as houses of worship, whose main purpose is promoting a particular faith. (Faith-based charities whose operations are non-discriminatory and meet social needs are eligible.)
- United Way
- Youth sports sponsorships
